Q: What types of companies does Inband Software serve?

Inband Software helps companies of all sizes. But most of our customers are small high-tech companies that don’t have an in-house DSP software development team.

Q: What are the advantages of contracting DSP software development?

By contracting your DSP software development, you can lower your development costs and reduce your time to market. Our rates are about half of what it would cost to hire local DSP contractors or full-time engineers. In addition, our experienced team can be productive immediately, while a new team can take months to get acquainted with the technology.

Q: I’m still learning about DSP. Will you help me?

We will be happy to help you figure out exactly what you need before you make any commitment to us. We can help you with DSP processor selection, algorithm evaluation, and feasibility studies.

Q: Will I need to provide office space for you?

The bulk of our development will be done offshore, in our development center in Costa Rica. For the times when a site visit is required, usually at the beginning of the project and at the end, we will need temporary accommodation. We can work out of a lab or conference room.

Q: How will I get support if the development team is offshore?

Our development center is conveniently located in Central Standard Time Zone, so you can reach us at any time. We are a short 4-7 hour trip away from most US locations, in case a visit is needed. We also have support personnel at our headquarters in San Jose, California.

Q: Do you charge by the hour, or by projects?

We can do both. We prefer to contract entire projects. This way you know what the project will cost ahead of time. But if the requirements are not completely known ahead of time, we can set-up open projects and bill by time and materials.

Q: How long will the project take?

Each project is different. But typical projects last between 3 and 6 months.
